Summary/Abstract: This paper, by following the aspects of the Philther theatre-historical methodology, analyses the monodrama titled Béres Márta One-Girl Show, directed by András Urbán in 2011. After expounding the aesthetic and thematic characteristics of Kosztolányi Dezső Theatre in Subotica, it analyses the performance text. It examines questions of narration and the fact that the text enables interactions between the actor and the audience. Regarding the stylistically heterogeneous direction, it analyses the functions of various solutions. The analysis extends to the complex acting as well as the significance of having no visual set for a monodrama. Finally, the study explores the performance’s impact on theatre history.
