Summary/Abstract: The fundamental importance of the issue of children's welfare is an undeniable fact in modern society. The factors influencing this phenomenon are multi-dimensional and multi-layered – from the influence of the actions and human relationships of the children themselves, through the networks and resources available to the people who care for them, to the state policy and conditions in the country. The purpose of this publication is to highlight the pedagogical culture of parents as an important determinant of children's well-being and positive mental health. It is the set of knowledge, skills and attitudes in the field of raising and educating the child that parents possess, that are the basis for providing children with quality conditions for a full childhood and an equal start for the future. The publication is in implementation of a project of Sofia University „St. 80-10-79 / 11.4.2024 – Manifestations of pedagogical competence in modern times – structural and substantive dimensions.
