Summary/Abstract: The problem of the meaning of earthly life and the eternal destiny of man have been constant themes of reflection in Christian thought, even though the great clarifying statements for man's major questions were definitively formulated by Jesus Christ, the One born under the law, to liberate those born under the law. The great anxieties of man prove to be a constant, and for the young, recourse to biblical and patristic texts, despite their uncontested position, even for those at the age of trying to change the world, requires updates and even particularizations. This text aims to analyze the relationship between man and the world from a theological and educational-pastoral perspective. The philosophical and socio-political currents born from the great anxieties of Renaissance man gradually led to the consideration of freedom, understood as independence from divinity, as an end in itself, and through this, made man feel increasingly distant from himself and his fellow men. The text conceptually details and illustrates through models left by the holy fathers how understanding in the light of the divine Revelation of love for one's neighbor leads to the assumption of friendship, and through this supports man's journey towards Man.
