Summary/Abstract: This article addresses theoretical, statistical, legal, and empirical aspects related to long-term care. The elderly, considered the most vulnerable social group, are a priority for the Romanian Orthodox Church, which offers a significant number of dedicated social services for seniors. Towards the end of the paper, two case studies will be analyzed. One focuses on the elderly as the target group, while the second targets the young. To assess the value of aging, young people expressed their objective opinions regarding the role and significance of the elderly in their lives. They specifically highlighted the benefits that young individuals gain from intergenerational exchanges and direct relationships with seniors. Additionally, a practical guide model will be presented for priests interested in establishing an Elderly Socialization Center within their parish. This model, titled „Religious Assistance to the Elderly”, is designed to facilitate the creation and operation of such centers through the Socialization Center.
