Summary/Abstract: The analysis shows that the image of a contemporary Jew consists primarily of features relating to be religious and community. Jews are an important part of Czech society. Their representatives are invited to state ceremonies, are members of many councils, and speak on various matters. There is no shortage of mentions in the press about their lives, customs and events taking place in individual Jewish communities. Images created in journalism and the press are not unfavourable for them, unless a conflict with the dominant society is described. Such occurrences often contain lexemes negatively evaluating the behaviour of the Jewish community. The way of describing the Jews living in the Czech Republic before the war is also important. Their memory is kept forever. Their contribution to the history and culture of the Czech Republic is emphasized. The press image of Czech Jews correlates with the results of research, which show that anti-Semitism in the Czech Republic is at a low level, and Jews enjoy the Czechs’ liking.
