Summary/Abstract: A current popular topic in the Bulgarian education system is the overload of students from the pre-secondary stage (5th-7th grade) and the insufficient time for good practical classes. Instead of reducing the teaching material, which is the most often mentioned solution to the problem, the authors propose an alternative by using reserves from the organizational framework. A brief historical review was made and experience from a system that was successfully implemented in Bulgaria. Some possible modern applications of the reviewed methods are discussed.
