Summary/Abstract: In Albania, as in the most of the other countries of the Balkans, in the last centuries it was wrought a broad gamut of textiles, silk and cotton textiles, many times even mixed, so, silk and cotton, wool and flax, etc. It can be affirmed that everywhere in Albania the women worked for domestic needs various cloths, but if we want to speak for products of a high quality we can mention a lot, so, the best silk cloths were those worked in Central Albania and in the most important cities of Kosova (Yugoslavia). The most beautiful cotton cloths are found in die Coastal Plains (so, in Myzeqe, Fushë-Krujë and Zadrime). A particular sight and quality had, without any doubt, the cotton cloths of Slikoder where we find the characteristic red colour of this city known under die name "Shkodra's red". More renowned for the wollen products were Korça, Luma, Kurveleshi, Hasi, the Highland of Tirana, etc., and, of course, Peja and Prizreni in Kosova.
