Restoration of Font from Evangelical Church, Buzd Village, Sibiu County

Summary/Abstract: The font from Evangelical Church from Buzd village, Sibiu county, is currently in possession of Evangelical Consistory from Sibiu. The pieces were in an advanced state of deterioration in the moment when it was taken in the laboratory, under stress of unfavorable condition of microclimate, inadequate handle, transport and suffered accidents. The font was subjected to many complex interventions of restoration such as consolidation, gluing, renewing of missing elements, priming, chromatic integration and varnishing. The pieces are in present in the permanent exhibition in Teutsch House from Sibiu.
