Summary/Abstract: In view of the inconsistency in prior research, the maingoal of this analysis is to determine the influence of sub-jective norms on entrepreneurial intentions among Polishstudents. The secondary goal is to examine how thesesubjective norms are affected by entrepreneurial experi-ences among individuals close to students, the students’self-employment history and work experiences, and theirgender. Based on the framework of the theory of plannedbehaviour and data generated through surveys of studentsin a management programme (N = 255), structural equa-tion modelling is applied. The results indicate that subjec-tive norms indirectly influence students’ entrepreneurialintentions (through attitude towards entrepreneurship andperceived behavioural control). Regarding the antecedentsof subjective norms, students’ prior entrepreneurial expe-rience and work history are not significant, nor is gender. The entrepreneurial experience of individuals close to stu-dents has a significant and positive impact on subjectivenorms only when students are convinced of the successesof their close entrepreneurs.
