About the population of Dobrogea in the „Gazeta Transilvaniei” in the first years after its return to the Country (1878-1890)

Summary/Abstract: When the Romanians occupied Transylvania seeked news about their brothers across the mountains. Their main source of information was the aforementioned „Gazeta Transilvaniei”. This article is focused around key information regarding the population of Dobrogea in the first 3 years after its return to the country, as recorded and transmitted by the publication: the people's movement as well the efforts made by the Romanian state in support of colonization and Romanianization.
