APPLICATION OF PHOTOGRAMMETRY IN THE ANALYSIS OF EPIGRAPHIC MONUMENTS VIA VERTICAL LAYERING OF THE MICRORELIEF

Summary/Abstract: Photogrammetry has been established as a method for studying and revealing the contents of epigraphic monuments. This paper proposes an unconventional approach to the interpretation of digital products that opens up new perspectives for their analysis. A new type of surface metrology is applied which enables the objective verification of the otherwise subjective perceptions of the researcher. The application of this research method to a selected archaeological monument contributes to its study.
