CONSIDERATION REGARDING LITHIC RAW MATERIALS AND TEHNOLOGIES AND FUNCTIONALITIES OF NEOLITHIC AND ENEOLITHIC ARTIFACTS FROM THE CRACĂUBISTRIȚA DEPRESSION

Summary/Abstract: Natural resources are an important component of the paleo-environment and the geographical environment, known, exploited and exploited by man at all times. Knowledge of the petrographic nature of rocks that have been the raw materials for lithic equipment may explain the preference for certain petrographic varieties, depending on the functionality of the tools, or provide information on the use of local or non-local raw materials from intercommunity exchanges. The making of stone tools was a permanent concern of the Neolithic and Eneolithic communities in the CracăuBistrita depression area, being considered complementary to subsistence activities (agriculture, animal husbandry, hunting, fishing). The study of lithic materials can be focused on identifying the sources from which the raw material comes or researching possible techniques by which the artifacts were made, their use and typological analysis.
