Summary/Abstract: This publication aims to show the extent of which virtual reality technology is used in museums and art galleries in Bulgaria, especially those that have developed and own virtual reality applications presenting our archaeological cultural heritage to the museum audience. At the same time, the study will describe the experience of the Regional History Museum – Sofia in developing and using the interactive 3D virtual reality application “Triangular Tower of Serdica”. To achieve this goal, a survey was prepared in March 2024 and sent to Bulgarian museums and art galleries. The aim was to gather up-to-date information on the use of VR applications in their exhibitions.
