Summary/Abstract: In addition to their historical, cultural and geopolitical ties, Turkic states are located in a geography facing common security threats. Intelligence sharing and coordination have become imperative for a more effective fight against threats such as terrorism, cyber-attacks, organised crime and regional power struggles in the region. In this context, the establishment of a common intelligence organisation of the Turkic world is not a choice but a strategic necessity. This article examines the rationale for such an organisation, the process of its establishment and Turkey's leadership role in this process. It also presents a proposed model and nomenclature based on the structures of similar international organisations.
