Summary/Abstract: Intelligence is the process of gathering, analyzing, and interpreting information to ensure the security of states, institutions, and individuals, gain strategic advantage, and anticipate threats. With technological advancements, intelligence activities have become multidimensional, incorporating not only traditional methods but also emerging areas such as cyber and psychological intelligence. This study provides a detailed examination of intelligence concepts and types, explores counterintelligence strategies, and analyzes successful case studies in the field. Lastly, considering Turkey’s geopolitical position, concrete recommendations are presented to enhance national security.
