Summary/Abstract: Modern armed conflicts are changing significantly, involving different actors, such as state and non-state actors, terrorist groups and private military companies. The lines between traditional warfare and other forms of armed action are becoming increasingly blurred. In these new conditions, the need to know the specific features of international humanitarian law is greater than ever in order to avoid violations that can have catastrophic humanitarian and legal consequences that harm both nationally and internationally
