Summary/Abstract: The research analyses change within Health Education in upper secondaryeducation in Finland, taking into account skills, values and competences ofstudents. There is underlined the role of educational changes in becominga thoughtful global citizens in the contemporary world. There is also put anemphasis on acquisition of knowledge about health promotion and theories thatexplain healthy lifestyles. Students also study about healthy skills linked tomedicalization and alternative treatments. They also evaluate the effects oflifestyles from the point of view of infectious diseases. They are able to analysethe factors contributing to health and health inequality in Finland and globally.All changes within Health Education are analysed on the canva ofmetatask and mission of the main goals of general upper secondary educationand also OECD competences 2018.
