Summary/Abstract: This paper examines the perception of the public space of Gościno, a newly chartered town in north-western Poland. An overall assessment of its space was carried out in five categories of spatial order: 1. Urban-design and architectural; 2. Functional; 3. Aesthetic; 4. Social, and 5. Ecological. The method employed was that of the semantic differential. Use was made of the results of a survey study conducted in June 2011 among the town's inhabitants.
