Summary/Abstract: This report aims to analyze the changes that have occurred in the education system inconnection with the crisis measures to contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus in the contextof a pandemic. To reveal the advantages and disadvantages of using e-learning, characterizingnew trends in the education system and outlining the growing importance of digital educationin our country.The study will identify lessons and opportunities for change in educational practice andthe organisational model of Bulgarian education, including through distance learning in anelectronic environment during a pandemic, epidemic and other unforeseen situations
