Summary/Abstract: The aricle concerns the impact of the demographie processus on the geographic population distribution by different regions of the country and on the shaping of the regional demographic situation. The regional aspects of the migration are studied here in relation to the historical features, conditions and nature of the socio-economic system. The specific impact of the related to them factors is connected with the particularity of the corresponding region or settlement. A projection of the new trends of population resettlement is made. The negative consequences of our internal migration are: the enlargement of the regional disproportion of the space distribution of the population and the trace out of two poles — of hypertrophic (overgrowth) developed cities and depopulating regions. The last ten years results of the National Programme of the internal migration regulation are summarised and the need of regulation migration policy relevant to the new conditions is justified.
