It questions the role of platforms like X (e.g., Twitter) as popular tribunals and examines the legal and media implications of the Benalla case. The analysis also highlights the ambiguity of fake news definitions and their impact on judicial decisions. Lastly, it sheds light on the challenges posed by "post-truth" and the transformations induced by technological innovation in the dissemination of falsehoods.
