Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to provide a brief overview of the current international and national legal framework dedicated to the protection of persons with intellectual disabilities and mental disabilities. Based on this review, some of the challenges and problems that exist not only in the legal framework, but also in law enforcement and practice in the field of the protection of these persons are visualized.
