Academician Prof. Dr. Đenana Buturović

Summary/Abstract: Đenana Buturović (Čustović) was born in Trebinje in 1934. She studied literature at the Faculty of the Humanities in Zagreb, graduating in 1958. She then joined the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, working in the Ethnology Department as curator for the oral poetry of the peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina. She was later promoted to senior curator and then, in 1974, to academic associate, followed by a further promotion to senior academic associate in 1977 and academic consultant in 1981. She gained her doctorate at the Faculty of the Humanities in Belgrade in 1973.
