Summary/Abstract: This topic explores how circular principles can be applied in agribusiness, with the aim of increasing the sustainability of agricultural production and reducing the negative impact on the environment. It will focus on the specific challenges and opportunities that the transition to circular agriculture offers to the countries of the Western Balkans. This includes optimization of resources (water, land, energy needs), reduction of waste, recycling of agricultural by-products and introduction of sustainable technological solutions. Also, potential benefits for agriculture will be analyzed, including increasing the competitiveness of agricultural products on the domestic and international markets.
