Summary/Abstract: The role of the customs authorities is of key importance in preventing the cross-border crossing of illegal financial flows and ensuring the financial security of the country and the European Union as its full member. In relation to the studied problem, the article proves and argues the modern role of customs in the prevention and counteraction of money laundering as increasingly necessary and justified.
