Sustainable urban development as an opportunity for private investments on the example of Asian agglomerations

Summary/Abstract: In the nearest future urban development will be influenced by three main trends. The first one is the increasing number of people in the new urban agglomerations the second the growth of global shortfall of resources, such as electricity and clean water, and the third the decrease of public funds for financing urban infrastructure. The purpose of the article is to identify opportunities to involve private investors in financing sustainable development of the cities. The main method used in this article was a case study of selected cities, in which dynamic growth was recorded.
