Summary/Abstract: After 1941, when the leadership of the evangelical church CA in Romania was brought in line with the leadership of the national-socialist "german ethnic group" (deutsche Volksgruppe), the schools became part of the organisational framework of the "Volksgruppe". The influence of the church in education was reduced to religious instruction. Influenced by the Association for "dejudaization" (a local branch of the Eisenach-based "institute for the research of the jewish influence on the german ecclesiastic life"), the church leadership hastily compiled a curriculum for religious lessons, drawing heavily on draft papers for similar curriculums written in nazi Germany that however never became effective.
