Summary/Abstract: The paper discusses some aspects of abduction. The motive is Aliseda’ recent book. The fi rst question is: What is abduction? The paper presents C.S. Peirce concept of abduction. An example makes intuitive the concept of abduction. Then comparatively discuss abduction, deduction and induction. Next part interprets abduction as logical inference. Last part puts a question: the recent developments of AI make necessary a new logical system.
