CO2 emission and allocation of CO2 emissions allowances in years 2008-2012 – a regional approach

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to compare the actual emissions of CO2 with their allowance in the years 2005 to 2012 with respect to voivodships in Poland. In the paper proposals for emissions and their relation to each other in different voivodships are presented and the areas of intensified emissions are identified with an attempt to identify the causes of this state. The comparison of the allocation of allowances for CO2 emissions and their actual value for individual provinces allow to answer the question whether the allocation of emission reduction in subsequent years has an impact on the actual reduction of CO2 emissions as well as to indicate additional conditions that must be met to enable the reduction of the emission.
