Summary/Abstract: Although still in its early stages, the advent of artificial intelligence is destined to revolutionize the judicial system, the different dispute resolution systems, legal and judicial procedures, both in physical and online courts. Artificial intelligence must necessarily solve problems that today belong to the real world: delays, high costs, complexities, inefficiencies and even prejudices which, reserved for the human race, have become a significant problem for the correct administration and management of justice. However, like any new technological opportunity, AI brings with it a series of challenges and unwelcome consequences; the (numerous) criticisms, in fact, often highlight the emergence of new prejudices, the opacity of the decisionmaking system and the risk of erosion of privacy. The topic is complex and raises numerous questions, including ethical ones, of which - one among many - is the following: can AI ever replace the judge?
