Summary/Abstract: The paper discusses innovation-related issues as factors of economic development in Polish voivodships. The first part provides a theoretical background on innovation and its impact on socio-economic growth. The second part applies taxonomic methods to rank Polish voivodships by their levels of innovation and economic development, analyzing their interdependencies. The study aims to classify and assess the relationship between regional economic growth and innovation levels, offering insights into regional development strategies and policy-making.
