LE VERBE FRANÇAIS ET SA SPÉCIFICITÉ RELIGIEUSE DANS LE DISCOURS CHRÉTIEN-ORTHODOXE
THE FRENCH VERB AND ITS RELIGIOUS SPECIFICITY IN CHRISTIAN-ORTHODOX DISCOURSE

Summary/Abstract: This article analyses the religious specificity, of a Christian-Orthodox nature, of certain French verbs when they are used in discourse contexts of this type, Christian-Orthodox. This specificity is expressed discursively by specialised meanings, actualised precisely in these contexts. In fact, in French, there are few verbs whose semantic core contains intrinsic religious, Christian-Orthodox specialised features. Most of those we have included in our bilingual dictionary of Orthodox terms acquire this specificity through contextual use in Christian-Orthodox discourse. In other words, they pass from the common lexicon of French to the specialised lexicon of religious and Christian Orthodox Christianity through their discursive use.
