Structure and Form of the Round Dance Folk Songs from Central Northern Bulgaria

Summary/Abstract: This text is part of a more comprehensive study of the structure and form of folk dance songs. The object of the study in the material are 766 folk dance songs published in the collection "Folk Songs from Central Northern Bulgaria" /NPSSB/. They accompanied the so-called "entertainment" folk songs and were recorded in the period from 1926 to 1929. In the following lines, we will pay attention to the most common structures and principles of form formation in folk dance songs from Central Northern Bulgaria, as well as to some of the components that influence them.
