Is mass music education widespread today?

Summary/Abstract: Today, the manifestations and aspects of the phenomenon of "mass" in musical education hardly coincide with the ideas and tasks set at its emergence. As a process taking place over time, it is carried out under the influence of many and diverse factors, which can generally be divided into three subsystems - heredity, environment and upbringing, and in a narrower sense - family, school, circle of friends, cultural institutions, mass media, etc. And although during the different stages of our economic, cultural, social development, these factors are distinguished by their own features, the clarification of the problem is conditioned by the need to reveal their complex and dynamic unity.
