Summary/Abstract: Over the past thirty years, the debate surrounding the significance, forms, and existence of resistance against the communist regime in Czechoslovakia has evolved. The acceptance of the "Third Resistance" law in 2011 marked a pivotal moment, facilitating access to numerous historical sources and testimonies. Despite criticisms of politicization and terminological inconsistencies, the concept of the Third Resistance remains crucial in understanding the various forms of opposition, ranging from armed actions to intellectual dissent. The term "Third Resistance" is historically grounded, with its usage documented in the activities of anti-regime groups and security forces. The resistance encompassed diverse motivations and methods, reflecting the changing political and social landscape over four decades. Ultimately, the Third Resistance played a vital role in preserving the moral integrity and continuity of the struggle for freedom and justice in Czechoslovakia.
