Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to analyze the judgment of 19 June 2023 declaring the political party “Sor” unconstitutional by the Moldovan Constitutional Court. The judgment raises many questions regarding its compliance with the case law of the European Court of Human Rights in this area and the requirements it has set for compliance with the principle of proportionality and the justification of such a radical and dangerous measure for democracy.
