Summary/Abstract: Managerial style of leading companies represents how the manager of the company reacts to changes in business environment. Managerial interactions that occur in human resource management and allocation of tangible and intangible resources have become the determinant of the success of the company. Therefore, continuous behavior research of managers in making decisions, planning, analysis, implementation and control process, became the focus of many authors. In theory, there are many known different managerial styles of company leadership; however, the research challenge question is: how the theoretical model of managerial style of behavior is manifested in practice? To answer the asked research question, the case study is defined, which is expressed in broad and narrow sense. In a broader sense, the case studies are managers of small and medium manufacturing enterprises in the FBiH. In a narrow sense, the case studies focuses on managers whose enterprises recorded a statistically significant increase in certain time period and managers whose enterprises have not recorded significant growth in same time period. In methodological terms, as a research instrument a structured questionnaire is chosen. For data collection over stratified sample (N = 149) of managers of manufacturing SMEs in the Federation of BiH a personal interview was used. During statistical data analysis and interpretation of results, appropriate scientific and research methods are applied. The overall research goal is: to identify the managerial style of behavior of "successful" and "unsuccessful" managers. The study hypothesis was defined as follows: managers of growing SMEs in the Federation of BiH differ in managerial style of company leadership in relation to managers whose companies have not registered growth in observed time period.
