Selected spaces in Wrocław as representation of emotions and carrier of new meanings — a study of three cases

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present how Wrocław is represented in moviesand television series, especially in terms of showing specific elements ofarchitecture. It is also important how cultural and metaphorical meaningsof these spaces and elements can influence interpretation and (which isequally significant) what impact it can have on the viewer. The article alsoanalyzes specific examples and scenes in terms of both plot and form inwhich the architectural spaces of the city can be a background for action,a manifestation of the fight for freedom or representation of fantastic ele-ment from the dystopian future.
