Summary/Abstract: This research attempts to show, in terms of principle, why the interview is, by its specific implementation, one of the most successful genres, both in journalism and literature, regardless of epoch and its media vehicle. Fundamental elements are brought into discussion, for instance: interview participants (author and interviewee), the role of the interview, the ethics of the author’ attitude. We are also seeking to lay out the reasons that make, in some cases, the interview to be not only a technical proof, but also an example of the art of communication. The display enables an easier understanding of these elements, to those interested in this exceptional living kind of journalism, including students.
