Summary/Abstract: eHealth represents one of the most important trends regarding medical services nowadays. It encompasses a wide range of solutions regarding health promotion, prevention, diagnostic, treatment and therapy, long term healthcare and even the lifestyle management. Thus, eHealth is related with a full series of complex processes that transform medical services, through an automation process not only at the level of available patients data, but at the level of medical procedures, internet usage, GPS technology et all, in order to deliver remote medical services with minimal costs and inter-operability between different national medical insurance systems. In this context, given the amount of data and the pressure related with the needs that stands at the very bases of these services, consumer protection has to be the number one priority for national institutions that are implementing the eHealth concept.
