Summary/Abstract: Over time, thinkers have been concerned with the means available to human being in approaching the surrounding reality, trying to identify them, and the establish their mode of operation. The essay reviews this milenial effort, beginning with the sophist man, for whom the world it was reduced to what the sense said it was and even to the artificial intelligence wich seek to reproduces within a machine the mean used by the human being her daily business.
