Summary/Abstract: The end of the XX century in Bulgaria is a period of many social changes which demanded from the one side development in theoretical plan of the social protection and support and from the other research, survey and analyses of the social practice in the elaboration of the profession “Social work”. The main theoretical and practical skills, which every social worker must assimilate, in the process of study, to realize effective and efficacious social-intermediary activity are brought out. This set of skills and knowledge, the students (at the SWU “Neophyt Rilski”) who are future social workers, obtain the necessary number of theoretical disciplines in different directions, and start with the maximum number, different by character and activity, social structures.
