Du politique à la politique linguistique, un véritable chassé-croisé
From politics to linguistic politics, a genuine coming-and-going

Summary/Abstract: We suggest in our article studying the relation between the political orientations and the institution of language policies ; our field of research comprises three countries with a background of social multilingualism : Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco. While determining the appropriate social and historical climate for every country and the factors inherent to language planning, we shall analyze the evolution of the policy of arabization and the status of French language in these three countries.
