Summary/Abstract: The paper develops the concept of political unity in the modern state. Political unity concerns the integration of various values and social pluralism, or the acknowledgment of a diversity of political systems. The modern state is characterized by sovereignty, that is by the possibility to make a decision which will become operative in its space. Political systems use several ways in order to establish decisions. The subject of the paper is methods, thanks to which political decisions (norms) will be realized. In the paper there is analyzed a religious approach and that connected with “a value method”. The value method is defined by the boundary between the moral and the immoral (right – wrong). The point of the paper is to reach a conclusion about the forms of thinking which are marked by supremacy and the process of exclusion, which represents a risk for a plural society.
