Summary/Abstract: The focus in foreign language education in the third millenium does no longer fall on the learners' purely linguistic competence, but rather on using the language communicatively alongside with cultural knowledge as a means to effectively communicate with other people around the globe. Students should learn how to reach out to the professional world around them, using not only the foreign language but mainly cultural skills.
