Summary/Abstract: An attempt is made by the author to demarcate the areas of the Other, Strange and Rejected in the metaphoric map of “mastered space of life”. The spatial scheme of “mastered space” appears as a composition of concentric circles. The central one symbolizes the space of the Normal here we find the Other represented in the social sphere which has an anonymous meaning “other people”. Next circle refer to the space of Rejection (it is a place of vice and crime), subdivided into the spheres of Unacceptable and Tolerable. Strange appear as Out-of-Order phenomenon, so it has no place in the mastered space map. But through the interpreting operations it turns into the Image of Strange and so gets its place in the mentioned map. This Image is often created by the principle of mirror, so what is ambivalent is its noticeable characteristic. Around these circles the space of the Strange is presupposed, and on the outer border the flashes of the Challenges posed by the Strange could be fixed.
