Summary/Abstract: The acceptance of the reforms of the Second Vatican Council in the field of liturgy remains an object of studies and analyses even today. This article-originally a lecture-describes the situation in the former Czechoslovakia in the sixties of the 20th century in rough outlines. Liturgy inseparably belongs to the life of the Church and that is why the Catholic Church should seek the authentic and “inculturated” shape of liturgy in the contemporary society as well.
