Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the process of the Hungarian economy and society getting into crisis after 2002. It also analyses the factors that caused the crisis and its effects. Further on, the paper gives an overview about the measures that have been taken by the new government since 2010, so that the country can get out of this situation.
