ORTHODOX VESTIGES AMONG ALBANIANS FROM MACEDONIA: EXERCISED ASSIMILATION OR PRESERVED TRICONFESSIONALITY?

Summary/Abstract: One among taboo themes of explications in historiography, culture and socio-history regarding Albanians from Macedonia is connected also with their orthodoxy. Age-old presence of Albanian orthodox documented in different periods, till the beginning of XX century, seems to be bashfully neglected by numbered scholars without achieving to bring any merited reckoning. Similar is existing situation which, besides historical significance and presence, is resolved in that way that Albanian orthodox in present day Macedonia are virtually inexistent. Nevertheless, the theme in question was more un explicated secret of experts or indifferent spectators, then only a mere fact that can surprise uninformed.
