Summary/Abstract: The article analyses one of the most important aspects of practical and theoretical Russian philosophy of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries. The axis of the article consists of the interpretation of solidarity incongruity in theory and practice in Russian philosophical discourse and Russian political reality. Cruel irony lies in the fact that Russian culture, which had made solidarity philosophy ripe as one of the most humane philosophy concepts and also as one of high moral standards, had been unable to resist Bolshevik-Marxist ideology. The first part of the article surveys the characteristics of Russian solidarity philososophy and its relation to the Western philosophical tradition. The second part is written in order to reveal the incongruity between the idealistic philosophical solidarity project and Russian political and social reality. The Russian solidarity concept was based on the wrong premise, i.e. geopolitical space, in which a solidarity concept of a high moral level formed, ipso facto is the most suitable geopolitical space to implement this philosophy in practice. The strongly expressed national mission-like idea did not allow to notice that solidarity principles were at breach in practice. Finally, it became an obstacle to acknowledge the fact of loss.
